Enabling the future for Mitchell Community College

The Mitchell Community College Foundation and Endowment for Excellence serves as the college’s primary fundraising organization. Founded in 1997 to provide critical resources to the college and support its long-term needs, the Foundation has been fortunate to grow into one of the largest community college endowments in North Carolina, providing millions of dollars in supplemental funding to Mitchell’s students, faculty, and staff. 

In 2018, the Foundation grew to add several current-use and endowment giving opportunities: the Maverick Fund, the OneMitchell Scholarship fund, the Experiential Learning Fund, and the Dan and Jane Pardue Friends of the Arts Fund. Each of these designations provides immediate resources to the college’s top priorities, financial aid, hands-on learning experiences, and our visual and performing arts programs.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, who serve three-year terms, and is assisted by college administration and staff.
