Fifty-three students were recognized for academic achievement and campus involvement during Mitchell Community College’s annual awards day ceremony.
Marlene Clermont was presented the NC Community College System Academic Excellence Award. She is members of the Phi Theta Kappa and has 4.0 average. Clermont and Susan Spah were recognized as nominees for the All-USA Community College Academic Team. Joe Brown was recognized as Mitchell’s nominee for the state’s Dallas Herring Achievement Award and Dexter C. Durlin, was recognized as Mitchell’s nominee for the state’s Robert W. Scott Student Leadership Award.
