Mitchell Community College named Aheshea Kinser as Student of the Month. Leigh Whitfield, director of marketing and public relations for Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, one of the College’s annual sponsors, presented the award. Kinser will graduate in May with an associate degree in nursing.
Kinser serves as president of Mitchell’s Student Nursing Association, secretary of the Nursing Class of 2014 and actively participates in the student government association. In addition to school, Kinser is a nanny to two children and works with her church’s youth programs. She volunteers with the Kasey Kahne Foundation, working with the Ronald McDonald House, Make a Wish and Victory Junction.
