Mitchell Cosmetology students honored
Statesville, NC – Mitchell Community College’s Cosmetic Arts program held their second annual pinning ceremony on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in Shearer Hall on Statesville Campus. The ceremony honored twenty-six students who completed their degree requirements in either the Fall 2014 or Spring 2015 semesters.
Fall 2014 graduates are: (Hamptonville) Kortnie Mitchell; (Mooresville) Nicole Reynolds; (Olin)Jettie Minnish; (Statesville) Melissa Beaver, Lina Medina, Unshay Mull; (Troutman) Shavaisa Smith.
Spring 2015 graduates are:(Cleveland) Cherell Gamble, Morgan Karriker; (Cornelius) Stephanie Palumbo; (Hiddenite) Brianna Roberts; (Mocksville) Karyna Lopez; (Mooresville) Katelyn Brown, Jessica Carter, Corrine Dougherty, Chandler McLean, Lauren Wallen; (Statesville) Terrance Adams, Maria Aguirre, Tammy Cox, Kisha Parks, Selene Sanchez, Katherine Santana, Casey Troutman; (Taylorsville) Shakiera Saddler, Sandra Torres-Calderon
Jennifer Salem, previous Mitchell graduate, was the keynote speaker. Salem congratulated students on being a part of the best industry in the world and encouraged them to always take pride in their field. Mitchell’s Cosmetology program includes international Pivot Point Scientific Approach curriculum and boasts 100% pass rate on state board examinations.
