Dr. Porter Brannon announced as Vice President for Student Services
On Thursday, May 5, 2016 Mitchell Community College announced the selection of Dr. Porter Brannon as the new Vice President for Student Services. Dr. Brannon will be joining Mitchell on July 1, 2016. This follows the retirement of Dan Manning who served at the College for 15 years.
Dr. Brannon currently serves as the Assistant Dean, Division of Student Affairs at LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City, New York. Previous experience includes serving as Registrar, Assistant Vice President and Dean of Academic Advisement and Student Services as well as Coordinator of a Central Advising Center.
Dr. Brannon holds a Doctorate in Executive Leadership, Administration and Policy, Master of Science in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. She brings with her a broad array of leadership experiences related to student support services and enrollment management.
