Monday & Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Tuesday & Thursday: 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Mooresville Campus, Brawley Building, Room 093

Monday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Thursday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m..

Virtual tutoring sessions will utilize Microsoft Teams via Mitchell Community College email. The tutoring session link will be shared once the appointment is confirmed.

Virtual appointments are offered during these times:

Tuesday & Thursday: 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

  1. Download the following application Application for Tutoring  to your computer, fill it out, “save” file and attach to email tjordan@mitchellcc.edu
  2. Students need a referral from their instructor to finalize the application and begin the tutoring process. To retrieve this referral, please ask your instructor to send an email to tjordan@mitchellcc.edu with your name, course title, and a description of what you need help with.

The Tutoring Center is accepting applications for tutor positions!

Tutoring Center is hiring tutor positions at the Statesville and Mooresville locations. Applicants for this position must meet the following qualifications: minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (all institutions attended); minimum GPA of 3.0 in the subject(s) in which you feel qualified to be a tutor; minimum of 12 college-level credits in core academic subjects including English 111.

Job offers are contingent upon the College's verification of references, a background check, or other applicable reports or inquiries. The Write Place: Mitchell's Writing Center

Get the help you need with any writing project for any class. Whether you need help getting started, clearing a hurdle in the middle or concluding the process, The Write Place can assist you. Our professional writing coaches will work with you one-on-one, focusing on your individual writing goals.

Walk in and get help on a first-come, first-served basis or make an appointment that works with your schedule. Be sure to bring your syllabus, assignment guidelines and any work you have completed.

Both campus locations can accomodate face-to-face and virtual appointments. See hours for both in-person and virtual locations below:

Friday: 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Use the above link to access WCOnline, our scheduling service. The first time you use the service, you must register. Once you are logged in and can see the schedule screen, you can use the drop-down arrow at the top to choose Statesville or Mooresville locations. Find the day and time you want and simply click on that time, fill in the requested information and save the appointment.
