Mitchell Community College will host the 30th Annual Walk-In Messiah, Sunday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. in Shearer Hall. The event offers anyone who enjoys singing the opportunity to join with other talented musical artists in a presentation of Handel’s Messiah.
The soloists will be: Melody Beaty, soprano; Kelley Mitchell, alto; Leslie Overcash, tenor; and Matthew Newton, bass. The program will be directed by Emily Schuttenberg and accompanied by Joel Everett, piano and Susan Haynes, organ.
Anyone interested in participating in the choir is asked to attend a rehearsal on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. in Shearer Hall.
The event is free and open to the public. Shearer Hall is located on the main historic campus in Statesville.
