Mitchell employees give back
Mitchell Community College employees are participating in the College’s annual United Way campaign. This year’s goal is $20,000. The United Way of Iredell County focuses on education, income and health – three areas of need that impact all lives. Last year’s funds provided:
-
683 children with supplemental in-school services at daycares or schools;
-
2,279 children after-school or summer tutorial services;
-
132 families with services that allowed them to continue working while caring for a parent or family member with a special need, and;
-
Saved Iredell residents $43,251 on their prescriptions costs via a prescription discount cards.
