Early College High School

Mitchell Community College operates three early college high schools in partnership with local school systems. The early college program provides motivated Iredell County students the opportunity to graduate from a five-year program with a high school diploma and up to two years of college credit with no cost to the student for tuition or books. Students typically enroll in the early college in the ninth grade through an admission process. Interested students should apply during the fall of their eighth grade year using the application located on Iredell-Statesville Schools’ website.

The Crossroads Arts & Science Early College High School is a partnership of Mitchell Community College and Iredell-Statesville Schools. Crossroads students take their high school classes at Statesville High School and travel by shuttle to Mitchell Community College’s Statesville Campus for college classes.   The Collaborative College for Technology and Leadership (CCTL) is operated in partnership with Iredell-Statesville Schools and Mooresville Graded Schools. CCTL is located on the Statesville Campus of Mitchell Community College in historic downtown Statesville.   The Agriculture and Science Early College is located on the campus of North Iredell High School in Olin, NC. It is the first early college in North Carolina with a focus on agriculture. Students have several degree options and can participate in sports and clubs, including FFA, at North Iredell High School.
